Grid
15×15 unbarred grid with clue numbers. There is a space to be completed under the grid. A separate box shows the method of entry for ENGLISHMAN, in the shape of the letter E, and NIGERIA in the shape of the letter N.
Preamble
Eighteen of the down answers (including two invented phrases) are entered as single letters. The letter formed is indicated in the clue's extra word(s). These overlapping letters spell five words of a six-word sentence which transliterates as a perfect pangram, using every letter only once. One letter in each word is formed from an answer which hints at the meaning of the whole word. The last letter in the fifth word is formed from an answer giving the meaning of the sixth word, which must be written below the grid (8 letters). Letters are formed down the columns from left to right, as shown in the box at the top right of the facing page.
