Preamble
Eleven of the lights are clued mathematically. Each letter of the alphabet is to be assigned a digit between 0 and 9 inclusive; the eleven numerical answers may then be encoded as words, before entry into the diagram. Solvers may find it helpful to know that the two diagonals (starting at 1 and 9) have letter sums equal to 43 and 27 respectively. Remaining clues are normal. All words in the completed diagram are verifiable by Chambers.
