Preamble Two of the rows and two of the columns in each six by six square are unclued; these sixteen lights are of a type. For each square, clues are given for the remaining four rows and columns, in diagram order; solvers have to deduce the location of the unclued rows and columns. Each set of four clues comprises two normal clues and two definition-and-letter-mix clues (each clue contains a definition of the answer together with a jumble of its letters, beginning at the beginning or ending at the end of a word). Answers to all the down clues must be jumbled before entry. Chambers (1988) is recommended.
